In the 2026/27 season, Vera-Lotte Boecker makes her role debut as the title character in a new production of Cavalli’s La Calisto at Theater an der Wien, directed by Stefan Herheim — the production will shortly thereafter also be seen at the Deutsche Staatsoper Unter den Linden. She also debuts as Leonore in Krzysztof Warlikowski’s new production of Beethoven’s Fidelio at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, and returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper — as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and as Mary Stuart in Brett Dean’s Of One Blood, following its recent world premiere.

As Artist in Residence at the Konzerthaus Berlin, Vera-Lotte joins the Konzerthausorchester throughout the season for a series of concerts: operatic excerpts by Berg, Beethoven and Dvořák (Oscar Jockel), Strauss orchestral songs (Iván Fischer), and concert arias and cantatas by Mozart and Marianna Martines (Ton Koopman). She also performs Britten’s Les Illuminations (Sayako Kusaka) with the Konzerthaus Kammerorchester and appears in recital alongside Sarah Tysman.

During the previous season, Vera-Lotte starred in a string of new productions and made several significant debuts. She created the role of Mary Stuart in the world premiere of Brett Dean’s Of One Blood (Vladimir Jurowski) at the Bayerische Staatsoper, made her debut in the title role of Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen (Sir Simon Rattle) at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, and appeared as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni (Vladimir Jurowski), also at the Bayerische Staatsoper. At Staatsoper Hamburg, she sang the title role in the opening production, a staged version of Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri (Omer Meir Wellber), returning later to star as Die Frau in Tobias Kratzer’s triptych Frauenliebe und -sterben.

On the concert platform, Vera-Lotte has appeared several times over recent seasons with the Wiener Symphoniker: in the title role of Schumann’s Das Paradies und die Peri (Petr Popelka), in Schoenberg’s Gurrelieder (Petr Popelka), and in Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem (Dima Slobodeniouk). Further recent concert highlights include Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 with the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España (Cornelius Meister); Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (Rafael Payare) and with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin (Vasily Petrenko); Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the Robert Schumann Philharmonie Chemnitz (Benjamin Reiners); Orff’s Carmina Burana with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse (Diego Ceretta); Agnès in Written on Skin (George Benjamin) in concert with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra; Zemlinsky’s Lyric Symphony (Hannu Lintu) with the Finnish National Opera Orchestra; Reimann’s Mignon with the Vogler Quartet at the Konzerthaus Berlin; and Mendelssohn’s Paulus with the Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg. Further performances have taken her to the Wiener Konzerthaus, Kölner Philharmonie, Kulturpalast Dresden, Stuttgart Philharmonie, and Musikverein Wien.

Recent operatic highlights include significant role debuts such as the title role in Strauss’s Daphne in Romeo Castellucci’s production at the Deutsche Staatsoper, the title role in Berg’s Lulu and Dorotka in Tobias Kratzer’s production of Schwanda der Dudelsackpfeifer at Theater an der Wien, Nadja in the premiere of Haas’s Bluthaus at the Bayerische Staatsoper (directed by Claus Guth), and Fusako Kuroda in Henze’s Das verratene Meer at the Wiener Staatsoper, a production also released on DVD.

In 2026, a recording of Hindemith’s Cardillac will be released on Capriccio, in which Vera-Lotte appears alongside Tomasz Konieczny.
